Fog in the Fields by Karen Doyle, Oil, 11 x 14

Fog in the Fields

Oil on Linen Panel 11 x 14 Through Gallery $695.00 USD

Fog in the Fields was the result of Karen's first 4:30am alarm clock to go out and paint en Plein Air.  It was Monday morning, and she got up early to paint the sunrise before going into work in order to avoid taking any time off or impacting family time.  The drive from Beaverton to North Plains was breathtaking - it was clear, with no traffic, and the sunrise was gorgeous.  As she approached North Plains, she drove through fog lying low across the highway.  She stopped to take photos of the sky before she even arrived at her destination.  Onsite at Jackson School Lavender Farm, the fog sat low, woven through the fields, mostly blocking her view of the West Hills and Skyline.  As Karen painted, the sun came out and the fog slowly cleared and the West Hills gradually appeared as if by magic.
